Akshay Kumar Clears the Air on ‘Hera Pheri 3’ Speculations After Star-Studded Reunion

Akshay Kumar Addresses ‘Hera Pheri 3’ Rumours Following Reunion with Costars

Bollywood icon Akshay Kumar recently set the record straight about rumors surrounding ‘Hera Pheri 3’ after reuniting with his co-stars Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal. The trio’s appearance at an event in Gujarat sparked excitement among fans who hoped this reunion hinted at the return of the beloved comedy franchise.

Despite the speculations, both Kumar and Shetty were quick to deny any connection between their meeting and ‘Hera Pheri 3’. They explained that their gathering was for a special cause—the 16th Akshay Kumar International Kudo Tournament 2024, not a film project. To address the situation, Akshay took to Instagram, sharing a video from the event. In the caption, he humorously clarified, “At the 16th Akshay Kumar International Kudo Tournament 2024, two Guinness World Records were shattered, making it a truly memorable day—no ‘Hera Pheri’ involved.”

A Celebration of Sportsmanship, Not Film Plans

The gathering was a memorable one, featuring young martial arts champions and valuable lessons in sportsmanship, discipline, and teamwork. Akshay expressed his gratitude to Paresh Rawal and Suniel Shetty, whose presence brought a nostalgic charm to the event. “And all this in the presence of our very own Babu bhaiya, @pareshrawalofficial and Shyam, @suniel.shetty, who made the event extremely special,” Akshay added in his caption.

Suniel Shetty, too, shared his thoughts on Instagram, humorously downplaying the event’s connection to the popular film. “The Dhoom Dhadaka Orchestra is Back!!! But no Hera Pheri this time. Just all-out Kudo Action!” he captioned, making it clear that their reunion was purely for the tournament.

Revisiting the Iconic ‘Hera Pheri’ Franchise

The original ‘Hera Pheri’ debuted in 2000, introducing fans to the hilarious chemistry between Raju (Kumar), Shyam (Shetty), and Babu Bhaiya (Rawal). The trio reprised their roles in ‘Phir Hera Pheri’ in 2006, a sequel that added to the franchise’s success and cult following. With fans eagerly awaiting a third installment, it’s clear the ‘Hera Pheri’ legacy holds a special place in Bollywood history.
