“Ghar”, the concept of a home, has been beautifully presented by Faisal Town in it’s new ad film. Home is a place that is much more than just a ceiling held together by concrete walls. No matter how visually appealing the house is, no matter how state-of-the-art the interior is, these materialistic parameters aren’t enough to qualify a house as a home.
“Home is a living embodiment of all your memories”, said Rafay Rumi the director of the ad film. “The moments you cherish, the moments of sorrow, the moments that you have a deep emotional connection with.”
As Joyce Maynard said “a good home must be made, not bought.” We all look for that one perfect #RehnayKiJagah
This 5-minute-long ad film does a great job of highlighting this saying. The film starts with the family moving out of their rented house, it can be seen how hard it is for the elderly woman played by the veteran artist Simi Raheel to let it go. Although, she is delighted about how the foretelling of her late husband about their son buying a house of their own for the family to live in became a reality. But for her to move out of a place where she spent a lifetime of cherished memories is difficult. She has to let go of a place that once used to echo with the laughter of her children growing up. Even though she had a lifelong dream of having a house of their own one day, leaving behind a place that echoes with bittersweet memories of one’s whole life isn’t easy. This can be seen as @SimiRaheel picks up the last piece of her belongings, which is left behind and heads out of the house. She cannot help but relive each and every memory that happened there. As she walks down the hall for the very last time, the giggles of her children and the voice of her late husband echo in the background, making her nostalgiac and even harder to leave behind their generations-old, rented house.
As she reaches the new home, her sweet sorrow turns into pure joy and acceptance as she is about to enter a new chapter of her life with the younger generation. Although it was her first experience of being in a gated community and most of the things were foreign to her and went against her reference point of experience where she had to keep her guards up all her life. She is now free to do all the things that she wanted to do but couldn’t for the sake of her children, her family or the accepted norms.
Speaking of wanting to do things, there is another emotional moment in the ad where the family is enjoying their leisurely time in the park. Simi Raheel from the corner of the eye sees this girl riding a pink scooty. Seeing the scooty, it re-ignites a long-forgotten wish of her always wanting to ride her husband’s scooter, but she couldn’t. What makes this moment special, and heart-touching is that her son and daughter-in-law encourage her to ride that scooty, making her lifelong dream turn into a reality. Being able to live the life that she always wanted to and to see her wishes come true, she is unable to suppress her inner child and is seen smiling like one.
To conclude, this was a phenomenal project by Faisal Town, in a time where most of the housing societies adopt a much more direct approach to their ads, which consist of a wide plethora of shots of their existing projects followed by big celebrities endorsing their brand name and focusing on sales. It is commendable that Faisal Town adopted a much more distinct approach where they catered to an issue that is much more prevalent and relatable to the general public in an emotional and sentimental side way. This ad alone does justice to the brand identity of #FaisalTown and shows how it is much more than just a regular residential society. Faisal Town is the place to live, which not only cares deeply about its residents by providing them freedom and security but is also cognizant of the fact that how much of an emotional and a sentimental value a home holds in a person’s life. Well, it seems that we have found the perfect #RehnayKiJagah and that is #FaisalTown for sure.
