Shaan Shahid was born as Armaghan Shahid on 27 April 1971 in Lahore, Pakistan. His father, Riaz Shahid, was a renowned director and his mother, Neelo, was a popular actress. He belongs to a Punjabi Kashmiri Muslim family and has a brother and a sister. He studied at Aitchison College in Lahore and then moved to New York for his higher education.
