Gal Gadot Reflects on Snow White Experience with Rachel Zegler

Hollywood actress Gal Gadot has spoken openly about her experience filming Disney’s live-action Snow White, which hit theaters in March 2025. Despite the movie’s disappointing box office performance, Gadot described the filming process as enjoyable and rewarding.

Appearing on The A Talks, Gadot shared how much she enjoyed stepping into the role of the Evil Queen, acting opposite Rachel Zegler, who portrayed Snow White. “I really enjoyed filming that movie, I really had fun,” Gadot said with a smile.

She added that working alongside Zegler brought lightness to the set: “We laughed and we talked, we had fun.” Their on-screen rivalry contrasted with a more friendly relationship behind the scenes, something Gadot emphasized during the interview.

The actress also touched on the broader context that affected the film’s reception. Gadot explained that she had believed the film would be a commercial success but pointed to events in October 2024 as influencing audience reception. According to her, the pressure placed on public figures to comment on political issues—particularly regarding Israel—played a role in how the film was received worldwide.

“I was disappointed that the movie was incredibly affected by all of that and that it didn’t do well at the box office. But it is what it is, you win some, you lose some,” Gadot reflected.

While the film did not meet expectations commercially, Gadot’s performance as the Evil Queen earned praise for its dramatic flair, while Zegler’s portrayal of the iconic princess was widely discussed in fan communities.
