Samar Abbas Jafri Fulfills His Dream: Witnesses Lionel Messi Live in Action

Rising Pakistani actor Samar Abbas Jafri, best known for his role as Wali Jahangir in ARY Digital’s drama Parwarish, recently experienced a once-in-a-lifetime moment—watching football legend Lionel Messi play live in Florida.

Known to be an ardent admirer of the Argentine icon, Jafri shared the emotional milestone with his fans on Instagram during his recent trip to the United States. Wearing Messi’s iconic No. 10 Inter Miami jersey, the young star watched his idol in action at Chase Stadium, living what he called a “dream come true.”

“I started watching football because of Messi. I started playing and loving the sport only because of him,” Jafri wrote in a heartfelt caption. He reminisced about the years he spent collecting Messi posters, donning his shoes, and setting his pictures as wallpapers. “From my phone screen to a few meters away—still feels like a dream,” he added.

For Jafri, this was not just about witnessing a football match. It was a personal journey culminating in a moment that changed everything. “My world has shifted after watching him live. One huge wish checked off. GOAT – Messi,” he expressed with awe.

While fulfilling his personal dream abroad, Samar continues to shine in his acting career back home. His performance in Parwarish—a family drama addressing social and emotional dynamics—has garnered praise for its authenticity and depth. The drama features an ensemble cast including veterans like Naumaan Ijaz, Savera Nadeem, and Shamim Hilaly, and airs every Monday and Tuesday on ARY Digital at 8:00 PM.

With direction by Meesam Naqvi and a script penned by Kiran Siddiqui, Parwarish is fast becoming one of the most talked-about shows on Pakistani television.
