Pakistani actor and television host Javeria Saud has expressed concern after a viral video showed children disrespecting the statue of national poet Allama Muhammad Iqbal, while adults nearby did not intervene. The clip, initially shared by Pak247 News on Instagram, depicts three children slapping the statue as a bystander questions their actions.
Sharing the video on her Instagram stories, Javeria wrote, “Uneducated minds build weak foundations, and weak foundations can never hold a strong nation,” highlighting a broader issue of moral guidance and societal responsibility.

In the video, when asked why they were slapping the statue, one child replied that Iqbal had “left behind lessons for us to study,” indicating their frustration with understanding his works. Javeria used this moment to underscore that education goes beyond textbooks; it encompasses respect, values, and awareness, which adults, parents, and educators must actively nurture.

Allama Iqbal’s philosophy and poetry played a pivotal role in shaping the vision of Pakistan, emphasizing self-awareness, dignity, and moral strength. His writings are intended to inspire reflection, justice, empathy, and national purpose. Javeria Saud’s message reinforces the need to pass these values to younger generations responsibly, ensuring that the legacy of national icons like Iqbal is preserved and honored.
