Pakistani actor and television host Fahad Mustafa has remembered legendary actor Qavi Khan with an emotional social media tribute, celebrating his unforgettable performances and lasting contribution to the country’s entertainment industry.
Fahad Mustafa has paid a heartfelt tribute to veteran Pakistani actor Qavi Khan, reminding fans that legendary artists continue to live through their work even after their passing.
The actor shared a memorable scene from his 2022 film Quaid-e-Azam Zindabad on Instagram, featuring Qavi Khan in one of his final cinematic performances. Alongside the picture, Fahad posted a short but meaningful message: “Legends never die. Their legacy lives for ever.”
The shared photograph captured an emotional, rain-soaked moment from the film. In the scene, Qavi Khan is seen holding a framed portrait of Pakistan’s founder, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
Fahad’s tribute quickly highlighted the deep respect he continues to hold for the late performer. His words also reminded audiences of the impact Qavi Khan made through decades of work in television, theatre and cinema.
In Quaid-e-Azam Zindabad, Qavi Khan portrayed Munawwar Maharaj, the father of Fahad Mustafa’s character, Inspector Gulab. His character represented honesty, integrity and responsibility, creating a contrast with his son’s initial involvement in corrupt practices.
The film combined action, comedy and social commentary while exploring themes of honesty and accountability. Released in 2022, it also featured Mahira Khan alongside Fahad Mustafa and included one of Qavi Khan’s final film appearances before his death.

Qavi Khan passed away on March 5, 2023, leaving behind a remarkable artistic legacy. His contribution to Pakistani entertainment extended across several generations, making him one of the most respected performers in the country’s acting industry.
Born in 1942, Qavi Khan began his entertainment career at a young age. He started as a child performer at Radio Pakistan in 1952 before gradually establishing himself as a prominent actor across different entertainment platforms.
Throughout his career, he appeared in more than 200 films and hundreds of television productions. His ability to portray a wide range of characters earned him recognition among audiences and fellow artists.
One of his most memorable television projects was the popular drama Andhera Ujala, which remains an important part of Pakistan’s television history. His performances in numerous other productions also helped establish his reputation as a versatile and accomplished actor.
Qavi Khan’s achievements were recognised through several prestigious national honours. He received the Pride of Performance in 1980 and the Sitara-i-Imtiaz in 2012 for his services to the entertainment industry.
He was also awarded the Nishan-i-Imtiaz posthumously in recognition of his outstanding contribution to Pakistan’s cultural and artistic landscape.
Fahad Mustafa’s latest tribute has once again brought attention to Qavi Khan’s extraordinary career and the influence he continues to have on Pakistani entertainment.
