Indian singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh has sparked speculation about a possible appearance on Koffee With Karan Season 9 after revealing during an Instagram Live session that he has agreed to participate in just one interview this year.
Although Dosanjh did not disclose the name of the programme, his comments have led fans to wonder whether he could reunite with filmmaker and talk show host Karan Johar on the popular celebrity chat show.
According to Hindustan Times, Dosanjh told viewers that he had received an interview offer and agreed to appear because the programme’s team indicated it would be their final show of the year.
“I have received an offer for an interview. I can do that one. They said it is their last show for this year,” he said during the session.
The singer further explained that he had decided to limit his interview appearances, adding that fans could expect a surprise from the upcoming engagement.
“I am only going to do one interview this year. Only that one this year,” Dosanjh said.
His comments quickly attracted attention among fans, particularly because of his previous appearance on Koffee With Karan. However, neither Dosanjh nor the show’s makers have officially confirmed that he will feature in the ninth season.
Dosanjh previously appeared on Koffee With Karan Season 6 alongside rapper Badshah. The episode featured conversations about their careers and personal interests, with Dosanjh’s admission of having a social media crush on Kylie Jenner becoming one of the memorable moments discussed by viewers.
A potential return would give audiences another opportunity to see the singer in conversation with Johar. Dosanjh’s growing presence in music, films, and international entertainment has also made his interviews a subject of considerable fan interest.
Meanwhile, Koffee With Karan has returned with its ninth season, according to the report by Hindustan Times. The season premiered on October 14, with Salman Khan appearing in the opening episode and Karisma Kapoor making a special appearance.
The following episode featured Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna. Another episode was reported to feature Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor, with Arjun Kapoor joining for a special segment.
Dosanjh’s Instagram Live comments have therefore added to the anticipation surrounding the show’s upcoming guests. Still, the identity of the interview he mentioned remains unconfirmed, and his remarks should not be treated as an official announcement of his return.
For now, fans will have to wait for confirmation from Dosanjh or the programme’s producers to find out whether the singer will make another appearance on Karan Johar’s celebrity talk show.
