Verdict Expected Tomorrow in Ali Zafar’s Defamation Case Against Meesha Shafi

The defamation case filed by Ali Zafar against Meesha Shafi is expected to reach a verdict soon, as the Lahore court adjourned proceedings on Monday to review the case records.

Additional Sessions Judge Asif Hayat, presiding over the matter, stated that the court will carefully examine all documentation before issuing a decision. He added that if the judgment is completed during court hours on Tuesday, the verdict will be announced the same day; otherwise, a new date will be scheduled.

During Monday’s hearing, legal representatives for both parties presented their arguments and assisted the court in reviewing the case. The defamation suit dates back to 2018, when Ali Zafar sought Rs100 crore in damages after Meesha Shafi accused him of harassment, igniting a highly publicized legal and media battle.

The court adjourned the proceedings until Tuesday, with the anticipation of a potential landmark verdict in one of Pakistan’s most high-profile celebrity defamation cases.
